Jan is a passionate biochemist specializing in bio-catalysis, protein engineering and structural biology. Specifically, he obtained his Master degree in biochemistry at Palacky University Olomouc (CZ) focusing on plant biochemistry and subsequently his PhD at the University of Amsterdam (NL) focusing on biocatalytic production of nitrogen-containing small molecules. His postdoctoral training led him to the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ES), where he worked on the interface of organo-catalysis and enzymology. Finally, he decided to pursue a career in a private sector and joined Enantis, where he is in charge of internal R&D activities and protein manufacturing.
