Last spring, I had the pleasure of doing my secondment at TU Graz, in Robert Kourist’s group. There, I was able to continue my project on the incorporation of non-canonical amino acids (NCAAs) into enzymes for their site-directed immobilization, this time working with a reconstructed ancestral PAD enzyme (PAD N31).

I had a great experience, not only from a scientific perspective, but also thanks to the group, where I met many kind and welcoming people. I also had the opportunity to discover Graz, a beautiful city that I really enjoyed living in.
